This week I had a very nice email from a gentleman who is kind enough (much like you, dear reader) to glance over my blog now and then. The importance of music in schools is an issue that is coming to the fore again. A UK Department of Education press notice recently stated that; “Giving all young people the best possible music education will help the Government achieve its twin aims of driving up standards and reducing the attainment gap” But are they serious?
